Week 12
Here is the final week of my time spent working on this module where I was tasked with creating a promotional video as well as ensuring we had whatever we had done ready for submission.
Unfortunately due to the ambitious nature of this project all we have ready is an alpha showcasing the games movement and mechanics and due to time constraints. It is unfortunate however what I have learned along the way as a result of putting hours into working on this module is something that is very valuable to me, and I am happy to showcase something unfinished with potential rather than something mediocre that is going nowhere.
The games presentation and media has been good considering the amount of time that was given and since this was my field of work that is something I can be proud of.
Had I more time on this the programmers could have gone onto implementing the tilemaps and sound design however our time is up and we either have to sink or swim and I choose the latter.
Above is a video that details what is in my final submission as well as shows off the games animations and music. This is an idea that I could fully complete in the future as I believe it has a lot of potential and getting a grade on my work so far I think is a great way of getting feedback at such an early stage.
What I learned from this Module.
- Game development is an amazing career to get into, there is no other job in the world that would award individual thinking and creativity as much as this.
- Time constraints and deadlines is something you will have to get used to in this field and so the less time u spend on the brainstorming stage the better. MAKE MISTAKES SOONER.
- Working and managing a team presents a whole unique set of challenges and requires you to not be sloppy as you would when working on your own.
Finally you can find a link below to the project, we decided it would be best to release this on GitHub and not Itch.io as the project is currently unfinished and who knows maybe someday I will return to it to complete it fully.

I hope you enjoy it.
